A nutritious and flavorful South Indian breakfast prepared with oats, fresh vegetables, and a mild tempering.

  • 1 cup – Rolled oats
  • 1 medium – Onion (chopped)
  • 1 small – Carrot (chopped)
  • ΒΌ cup – Green peas
  • 1 tbsp – Oil / Ghee
  • Β½ tsp – Mustard seeds
  • 5–6 – Curry leaves
  • 2 cups – Water
  • Salt – to taste

  1. πŸ‘‰ Dry roast oats in a pan and keep aside.
  2. πŸ‘‰ First heat oil, add mustard seeds, fresh curry leaves, and cutting sautΓ© onions.
  3. πŸ‘‰ Then add veggies like (carrot, peas) and cook for 2 or 3 minutes.
  4. πŸ‘‰ Pour 2 cups water, add salt, bring to boil.
  5. πŸ‘‰ Add oats slowly, stir well, cook until water is absorbed.
  6. πŸ‘‰ Garnish with coriander and lemon juice. Serve hot.
